COMMISSIONER FOR OATHS/SWEARING SERVICES

Every Solicitor with a current practising certificate can administer oaths, affirmations, and declarations in  the same manner as a Commissioner for Oaths (Section 72 Solicitors (Amendment) Act 1994) – €10 swearing fee per signature witnessed/certified copy & €2 fee per exhibit.
Section 72 (2) provides that а solicitor must not administer affirmation or declaration in any proceedings in which they are a solicitor to any of the parties or in which they have an interest.
